san marcos

After having over 7 months in the San Judas I got changed to San Marcos. I know that it has been quite some time since I have rewritten you all. This past week was changes and the week before that we had the mission pday in San Juan del Sur. Thank you for your patience with me.

Well here I am in a new area. So far I love it. I am so grateful for the chance that I had to serve in the office, but I am also so grateful to be serving out in the field again. I love the area. The members here are really awesome. It’s not a problem at all to get member support here in San Marcos. Also, the weather here is so much different. After being under the hot Managua sun for quite some time it is a big adjustment here. Pretty much every morning I wake up here I am pretty much shaking. I feel that it is so cold. haha. It’s so weird because I never thought that I would be cold in Nicaragua.

I honestly love my new comps. I am in a trio with Elder H and Elder L. Elder H is so awesome. He is from Utah and is a really awesome missionary. He has one less change than me. He graduated from Brighton High. He reminds me a lot of Garrett F, it’s funny. Elder L is from Colorado and has less than 1 week in the mission. He has a strong drive to work hard and I am very excited to see his potential.

Love you all and hope you all have a great week.

  • What are your new responsibilities? baptizing and retaining
  • How far away is your new area from the mission home? What zone and district are you in? It is a fast bus. It’s about an hour and a half away. It is part of the zone of Carazo.
  • How different is what you are doing now from what you did in the office? It’s nice waking up, studying and going out to work. I love my new area and am really excited to work in the field full time. It’s so great to be a missionary and I love this work.

a new year

Wednesday, January 6, 2016

Every year we have the chance to put goals and do everything we can to complete. I feel that often by the time that February rolls around that almost all the goals are left behind and that we put them on the shelf for the next year to come around. I feel that this really is such a great opportunity that we have to grow and develop more. Our potential can become so much higher to become someone so much better. We truly have the chance to change what we don’t like and be the person that we want to become. It is through repentance and God’s plan that we have the chance to change and become someone better. I know that if we work hard to complete with these things that we will see great miracles in our lives and that we will draw closer to our Heavenly Father.

Love you all,

Elder Wagstaff

  • What’s your week and day been like? Things have gone good. We had a baptism this past week. His name is A and his is a brother of one of our recent converts. Things are going great.
  • What is one thing you learned in 2015? I learned that when we put our faith in God that our lives are so much better.
  • What are you doing to prepare for your big excursion next week? The preparations right now are crazy. We have to think about everything we need to bring, how every second of every hour will be…it is pretty crazy. But it should be a good time.
  • Are you needing anything? No everything is good.
