So this has been a pretty crazy week!!
The week started off pretty normal until Tuesday around 2 in the afternoon. We got a call from the Zone Leader saying that Elder P was going to have changes the next day. So we finished out Tuesday a little crazy trying to get all of our appointments in and letting him say goodbye to all of the members and his converts. The next day at the change meeting I received my new comp. Elder R.
Elder R seems like an awesome guy and has a super strong testimony. I am so excited to be his comp and see what we can do for this area of Las Colinas. I know that we can do great things.
I was a little frustrated these last few Conference days because our investigators didn’t have a strong desire to go and listen. There is a rule in the mission that if you don’t have 4 or more investigators in a Conference session, you can’t watch it (with the exception of one freebee and the Priesthood session). So as we were going around it seemed like nobody wanted to go to Conference. It was a little saddening, but we will have to work that much harder to get people to church this next week. I only got to watch the 3 session and Priesthood session. I was so grateful for this experience to watch these 2 sessions. I learned so much and especially loved the talks about the Atonement and the Savior.
I know that our Savior loves us. Every time I get the chance to hear about the Atonement, my testimony is strengthened. I am so grateful for this plan that God has prepared for us. I know that he loves us. I know that through the Atonement that families can be together forever and can return to the presence of our Heavenly Father.
I hope you have all had a great week. Love you tons.
– Elder Wagstaff
- Elder R seems like a great guy! Where is he from? What is his personality like? Does he remind you of anyone? From Guatemala. He has a really genuine personality.
- Has anything scary happened to you since you’ve been in Nicaragua? I honestly don’t feel like I’ve had a ton of scary moments. Maybe when I was robbed, but it really wasn’t a huge deal.
- Any funny experiences lately? Elder P told me a few times that I was teaching in my dreams in Spanish. Haha – sleep talking!
